Barcelona and Real Madrid have both been linked with Napoli s Fabian Ruiz, and according to Gazzetta dello Sport, both clubs remain interested in his services.
The two Spanish giants are currently looking for a new midfielder. Real have long been linked with Manchester United s Paul Pogba, but that move seems unlikely in the current financial circumstances. On the other hand, the Catalans have been trying to wrap up a swap deal for Miralem Pjanic of Juventus, but Arthur Melo s reluctance to leave the Camp Nou seems to be a big obstacle at the moment.
Having played for Real Betis before moving to Napoli in 2018, Ruiz has significant experience in playing in the Spanish top-flight, and it is believed that both Real and Barcelona will do what they can to try and bring him back to his homeland.
However, the 24-year-old is under contract with the Serie A side until the summer of 2023, which could complicate matters for them.
